TT - Morning 16-3 in Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the Corporation Saigon Newport (Navy) has officially opened a deep water port of Tan Cang - Cai Mep by bringing into use 40ha 600m long wharf and warehouse. Earlier in 2009, and 300m long wharf warehouse 20ha of this port was in operation and receive 73,000 tons of ships to dock, to directly import and export goods to the United States and Europe, but not through the water Tuesday.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dang Nghiem, General Director of Saigon New Port, said the entire project port of Tan Cang - Cai Mep a total investment of more than 4200 billion.
